Experience
Currently, I am a computer science major at Washington University in the city of St. Louis. It is my plan to either work on game design or cybersecurity in the future. In addition to being a student, I help oversee the weight room at the university's athletic complex, and I am also on the football team. I grew up in Minnesota, and I spent multiple years tutoring students who ranged in age from 5th grade up through 12th grade. In both tutoring and coaching, I have discovered that there is a great reward in seeing the progress my students can achieve through their hard work while also having a good time. As a tutor, I personally believe that student engagement is a vital part of learning. I love to tutor computer science and algebra, as I am most passionate about sciences and math. To me, algebra is just a logical puzzle, and I love solving it. I am a firm believer that any student can learn science and math while at the same time find enjoyment in what they are doing. Anytime I am not working with students or studying my own academics, I enjoy playing lacrosse in addition to football. I also follow all the sports teams from my home state.
